The Sterling Lady Black Bears hung on with an exciting 43-40 win over the Hugoton Lady Eagles in first round action of the Sterling Girls Invitational Tournament at Sterling High School.
Leading from the opening tip, the Lady Bears move to 4-5 on the season, while Hugoton falls to 2-5. Leading the way for Sterling was Shklar Olsen and Blaine Locke with 13 points each. The top scorers for Hugoton were Emily Tinoco and Ella Beesley with 10 each. Both teams will play at 4:30 pm on Friday. (Dwight Nichols) Comments are closed.
