Despite the slow start, the second-seeded Sterling Black Bears turned in an impressive second half to come away with an dominating 87-32 win over the Smoky Valley Vikings. The win puts Sterling into the semi-finals at 6:00 pm on Thursday. The Black Bears were led by 6-6 junior Boston Ekart with 31 points, followed by Blake Smith with 19.
The Bears (7-2) put the game away with a 36-point third quarter as they shot 60 percent from the field for the game. Leading the Vikings was Ty Heitschmidt with 13 points. Smoky Valley (1-7) will play at 4:30 pm on Thursday. Both games will be played at the Gleason Center on the campus of Sterling College. Comments are closed.
