Scott City Shoots Their Way Into Championship Game

Scott City lived up to their number one seeding on Thursday night by taking care of GWAC league foe Hugoton by the score of 57-40 to advance to the championship game on Friday night. They will play at 7:30 pm against the host Sterling Black Bears. The Beavers put up 23 first quarter points and led the entire way to move to 9-2 on the season. Hugoton will play for third place against Lyons at 4:30 pm. Both games will be played in the Gleason Center at Sterling College.
      The Beavers were led by Jackson Rumford with 23 points. He was followed by Avery Radke with 11 and Eloy Ruelas with 10. The Eagles (5-5) were led by Jay Acosta with 14 points.
