Constant defensive pressure by the Scott City Beavers resulted in 27 turnovers by the Trinity Celtics as the Beavers advanced to the semi-finals of the Sterling Invitational Tournament with a comfortable 79-27 win on Tuesday afternoon. Behind 23 points and 14 rebounds from standout Jackson Rumford, the Beavers (8-2) will play Hugoton on Thursday at 7:30 pm. Alex Tarango contributed 15 points.
Trinity (1-8) was led in scoring by Jackson Dozier and Max Ryan with seven points each. They will play Southeast of Saline on Thursday at 3:00 pm. Both games will be played in the Gleason Center at Sterling College. Comments are closed.
