While the Sterling Lady Bears struggled from the field, Southeast of Saline had no such trouble picking up an easy 53-17 win.. The Lady Trojans jumped out to a double-digit lead from the very beginning before Sterling connected for their first field goal.
The top-seeded Lady Trojans (8-2) maintained a 17-6 first quarter lead through the second quarter, leading 25-13 at halftime. While Sterling (0-9) could manage only a single free throw in the third quarter, the Lady Trojans put up 18 points to help put the game away and move into the semi-finals on Thursday at 7:30 pm at Sterling High School against the Kingman Lady Eagles. Leading the scoring for the Lady Trojans was Kyiah Samuelson with 13 points, followed by Abigail Pearson with 10. Comments are closed.
