With five players scoring in double figures, the Lyons Lions (5-5) advanced past the Kingman Eagles in first round tournament action on Tuesday by the score of 66-32. With the win, Lyons will face tournament host and second-seeded Sterling on Thursday at 6:00 pm in the Gleason Center at Sterling College.
The Lions were paced by Xavier Solis with 16 points. He was followed by Tegan Link with 15, Deacon Showalter and Detrell Stanley with 11 each and Paco Espinoza with 10. The Lions defense also held the Eagles to just 11 second half points. Kingman (2-8) was led by Ben Bradshaw with 13 points.
