The Southeast of Saline Lady Trojans were never threatened in a first-round matchup against the Lyons Lady Lions in the Sterling Girls Invitational Basketball Tournament on Thursday. Southeast was dominate in their 58-27 win.
With 10 players scoring for the Lady Trojans, they were led by Lexi Jacobson with 11 points and Suttyn Douglas with 10. Lyons was led by Keirah Davis and Sierra Belote with seven points each. The Lady Lions, 1-8, will move on to play in the consolation bracket against Hugoton at 4:30 pm in the South Gym at Sterling High School. The Lady Trojans, 6-2 overall, will advance to semi-final play against host Sterling at 4:30 pm in the Ora Shields Activity Center at Sterling High School. (Dwight Nichols) Comments are closed.
