​Lady Beavers Advance past Hutchinson Trinity

          Third-seeded Scott City Lady Beavers had little trouble taking care of the Trinity Lady Celtics with a convincing first-round win, 61-19 in the first game of the day at the Ora Shields Activity Center at Sterling High School.
      The Lady Beavers (5-5) were led in scoring by sophomore Katie Weathers with 13 points. Also in double figures was Megan Trout with 10. Scott City was 15 of 18 from the foul line for the contest. Next for Scott City will be Hugoton at 6:00 pm on Thursday. Trinity (1-8) will return to action on Thursday at 4:30 pm against Smoky Valley.
