Ekart Leads Black Bears In Semi-Final Win Over Lions

Boston Ekart poured in 26 points on 70 percent shooting from the field as Sterling earned its way into the championship game on Friday night with a 64-51 win over the Lyons Lions. The 6-6 junior was a perfect 4 for 4 from beyond the arc while also hauling in 15 rebounds. Also in double figures were Wyatt Newberry with 11 and Blake Smith with 10. Sterling (8-2) will face Scott City at 7:30 pm for the tourney title.
      Lyons (5-6) was led by Ethan Luck with 16 points. He was followed by Xavier Solix with 13 and Deacon Showalter with 10. The Lions will face Hugoton at 4:30 pm at Sterling College for third place.
