Waiting one more day to play didn’t slow the Beloit Trojans who opened the Sterling Invitational with a dominating performance defeating Remington 60-41.
The Trojans jumped out to an early 19-7 lead and never looked back. Remington would trail 31-17 at halftime and 45-30 after three. Carson Cox of Beloit led all scorers with 21 points all coming from beyond the arc. Vincent Palen would add 13. Remington’s Shane Tillotson was the only Bronco to reach double figures, with 10. Beloit will face Trinity who escaped Hugoton with a one-point win in one semi-final on Thursday night. That winner facing either Sterling or Southeast of Saline in the championship on Friday night. Remington falls to the consolation bracket and will face Hugoton at 3 pm on Thursday afternoon. Comments are closed.
