Hugoton Lady Eagles Historical Notes:
- 1973-74 First Season finishing 2-7.
- 2020 and 2017 Sterling Invitational Champions. Defeated Sterling 68-47 in '17 and Lyons 48-34.
- 2020 Hays City Shootout Champions (December) defeated Life Prep 50-41
- 1993 Lady Eagles Qualified for the 4A State Tournament losing to Kansas City Piper in the opening round and finishing 20-4. Head Coach was Gardell Schnable.
- 1993 State Tournament team was the first State Tournament team from a Hugoton basketball team since 1951.

- From 2006-07 season thru 2010-11…. The Lady Eagles had 12 wins and 81 losses in 5 seasons.
- The first winning season in approximately 17-18 years occurred in 2011-12 when the Lady Eagles posted a 15-6 record and also won a first round substate game.
- Coach Andy Gillen took over as the head coach starting the 2012-13 season and the Lady Eagles went 17-6 and lost in the 4A substate final to Pratt (Coach Adigun was an assistant for Pratt ).
- The 2013-14 team went 19-4 and went to the 4A state tourney for only the 2nd time in school history.
- The 2014-15 team went 22-2 and won the first basketball championship in Hugoton school history by capturing the 4A Div 2 state title and the team set school record for most wins.
- The 2015-16 team went 23-2 and finished 3rd in the 4A Div 2 state tournament and increased the record for most wins to 23.
- 2016-17 season was a dream season as the team went 26-0 and won the 3A state tournament with no game closer than 18 points and increased the season win record to 26.
- Coach Adigun took over the program for the 2017-18 season and the team went 17-8 and won 3rd place in 4A Div 2 state tournament.
- The 2018-19 season was a tough one with the team finishing 7-14 but the girls rebounded nicely in 2019-20 to get the winning seasons back on track at 15-6 and are off to a good start in 2020-21 at 4-0 prior to the Christmas break.
- In the last 10 seasons the Lady Eagles overall record is 165-48 with 5 straight state tournament basketball appearances, two state titles and two 3rd place finishes.
